Have you seen the infomercial? Every Saturday, I kind of get sucked in to watching these tiny babies reading... It's beyond! How do I feel about it? I am not sure... While I think it is amazing for a child to know how to read at such an early age, I'm also a little freaked out about it... No more spelling curses out when I'm arguing with my husband... No more writing on my blog about them because they just might read it... No more saying "The End" when I'm reading the 4th book before bedtime and have been Mother Goose'd out! Decisions... Decisions... Do I take the selfish route and hinder their development? OR! Do I give them the gift of reading before they even know how to use the potty? Hmmmm... Selfish mom wins! I'll enjoy a couple more years of telling fun stories about my girls... It's what the crowd demands :)

I'm with you! Thank you for supporting the choice to not do this program. We are not implimenting it and my almost 1 year old has a voracious appetite for books. She LOVES to read to herself (oh the noises she makes) and loves to sit and be read to. I don't think she's at any disadvantage even though I've had other mothers tell me so.
you know michael is getting this for chloe! lol!
