Baby showers! Who doesn't love them? I mean, the celebration of a new life that will be here no matter what! I love baby showers, obsessed actually. This past weekend I went to my friend's baby shower and not only did I subconsciously match the linens but I had a blast! I love a good wedding but it is mostly because of the open bar and electric slide. I can celebrate but there is something about a baby shower that gives me so much more to celebrate! A marriage might or might not last but this little midget will be here forever. With all that said, I hate showers for myself. I know! Weird! I'm more of a giver so I'd rather give someone the world but never EVER expect it back. Now at this shower my friend had some drama... The same drama that comes with weddings... Envy! I felt really bad because I've been there. I've been in the shoes of a person de-throning the current "golden child" and it isn't a sweet place to be. There are threats that if the current golden child isn't given enough attention they will disappear into a mountain and never be seen, yada, yada, yada. Personally, I don't give a crap and I hope my friend will take the same attitude I did towards her current situation and enjoy her new little girl without unnecessary people. It all goes back to the saying,"I'm rubber, you're glue whatever you say to me bounces right back to you!"
